| About the company….. Minds Eye Design began in 2002 as a part-time artist venture and went into full production as a wholesale outlet to French retailers in January 2003 and progressing into the UK marketplace the same year. As an American with a retail and wholesale background, my original concept and designs were for the American market. I began selling in the US in January 2004 and the line was represented at both the San Francisco and New York Gift shows in the summer of 2004 to tremendous response and success. In September 2005, the company headquarters moved from France to the US. About the product…… Unique mixed-media collage greeting cards for all occasions. Created using old family photos, specialty papers, rubber stamps, postage stamps, antique postcards, computer graphics, trinkets, and lots of imagination! There are currently 112 different designs and I am constantly creating and adding new designs. The cards are very different to anything on the marketplace. They are a small piece of art with a mass appeal. The cards sell equally well in Specialty Gift boutiques, Department stores and Hallmark stores. The cards appeal to both the store owners/buyers and the customers for their creativity and the price. The cards have a unique “hand-made” look without the high cost. The cards are mass produced and printed in the US on high quality papers to give the design depth and dimension. All orders are processed and shipped from our distributor in Michigan. About the artist, I grew up creating and making things! The kitchen table served as a perfect workspace and I loved selling my wares at local art shows and to friends. I was born in Michigan and lived in Texas for 15 years before moving to France in 1998. I have been in both retail and wholesale for over 20 years and have owned retail stores both in France and the US. I found a passion for greeting cards when I owned a retail store in Dallas for seven years. I carried approximately 35 lines of both artist made and manufactured cards within the 3500 square feet and knew the value of having clever designs and the latest styles. I share my work/creative space with my seven year old son, Sacha. For wholesale information click here. |
